Apocryphal Cross Distressed Crewneck — Black / Slate Cross

The Apocryphal Cross is built from an H and A sharing a single curved crossbar, with that same stroke turning the monogram into the cross itself.

I wanted the mark to feel less like a conventional logo and more like something that could have existed in another religious tradition — somewhere between Eastern Orthodox iconography, apocryphal texts, and the stranger edges of early Christian and Gnostic imagery. Those references shaped the atmosphere of the piece, but the symbol itself is original to The Higher Ark.

On this version, the muted gray-blue cross sits against a faded black distressed crewneck. The contrast is deliberately restrained rather than clean or graphic-heavy.
